Has Google Updated it’s Mobile Ranking Algorithm?
It’s no secret that Google is constantly evolving its search engine algorithms in order to maintain dominance. We have seen Google update their algorithms multiple times in the past few years with their Panda and Penguin updates. Most industry experts are seeing evidence that points toward a new mobile-specific Google algorithm update. Supposedly this update will seriously penalize your websites rankings if it is not mobile-friendly.

If your website is not mobile-friendly, we recommend keeping an eye on your traffic patterns over the past month or two.

Additionally, Google will be evaluating and penalizing specific types of CSS/HTML code and structure. The speed of your website and server will also be evaluated by Google. Quite worrisome is that certain coding standards used for compliance with older browsers such as IE8 are now considered defective by their testing system.
